MARGUERITE JEROME
Marguerite Jerome, 94, of Van Wert, died at 4:45 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2010, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
She was born September 3, 1915, in Liberty Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Charles Milford and Rosetta (Putman) Agler. On December 10, 1932, she married Kenton C. Jerome, who preceded her in death on October 19, 1995.
Survivors include a stepson, Gerald Eugene (Mary Ellen) Jerome of Fort Wayne, Ind.; four stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Seven brothers, Timothy, Lee, Morse, Loren, Elic, Garrett and Cloyd Agler, and two sisters, Hazel Gribler and Violet Frady, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, April 30, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller and Pastor Steven G. Waterman officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.

SONIA M. PEEPER
Sonia M. (Velkoff) Peeper, 92, of Paulding, died Monday, April 26, 2010, at her residence.
She was born July 1, 1917, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of the late Matodi and Louise (Beck) Velkoff. She married John H. Peeper, who preceded her in death in 1966.
Survivors include a son, John E. Peeper of Paulding; two daughters, Marilou Schrimshaw of Coppell, Texas, and Melissa (John) Munger of Paulding; a brother, Dr. Cy Velkoff of Warriors Mark, Pa.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A brother, Henry R. “Hank” Velkoff, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, with the Rev. Greg Bibler officiating. Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery in Paulding.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 30, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
