LYONS

Edith Lyons, 91, of Convoy, died at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

She was born August 4, 1918, in Convoy, the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Friedly) Pancake. On July 5, 1941, she married Herbert Lyons, who preceded her in death in November 1988.

Survivors include three sons, Kerry (Sharon) Lyons of West Liberty, LeRoy (Laura) Lyons of Ohio City, Lester Lyons of Convoy; a daughter, Pat Roberts of Van Wert; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, Wilbur, Clarence and Veron Pancake, and two sisters, Marie Wittenbarger and Dorothy Pancake, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Convoy, with the Rev. Rita Bair officiating. Burial will be in Kings Church Cemetery in Harrison Township, Van Wert County.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, at Gearhart, Mack & Jurczyk Funeral Home in Convoy, and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Convoy EMS or Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
