JONES

Alice M. Jones, 93, of Venedocia, died at 4 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009, at Van Wert Manor nursing home.

She was born March 8, 1916, in St. Marys, the daughter of the late Clark and Hazel (Collins) Siegel. On October 14, 1939, she married J. Paul “Cap” Jones, who preceded her in death on July 10, 2000.

Survivors include two sons, Philip (Donna) Jones and Thomas (LaVon) Jones, both of Venedocia; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A sister, Margaret Morris, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Wendy Pratt officiating. Burial will be in Tomlinson Cemetery in Mercer County at a later date.

The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
