OLSON

Viola Irene Olson, 80, of Van Wert, died at 10:15 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2009, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

She was born August 26, 1928, in Fort Recovery, the daughter of the late Arizona Phillip and Sarah Alice (Smith) Reynolds. On April 8, 1954, she married Eugene Norman Olson, who preceded her in death on September 12, 2006.

Survivors include six daughters, Carla (Wayne) Wedding of La Porte, Ind., Joanna (Steven) Bush of Monroe, Ind., Sue Olson of Noblesville, Ind., Sharon Menser of Van Wert, Lisa (Kent) Lyons of Bryan, Texas, and Jennifer (Daniel) Cash of Grayson, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Four brothers, Junior Dale “Bud” Reynolds, Harry Reynolds, Herber Phillip Reynolds and Robert Lewis Reynolds; four sisters, Mildred Hennsey, Beatrice Stammen, Clara Louise Moser and Thelma Fett; a grandson; and two great-grandsons, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, August 28, at the Van Wert Apostolic Church, with Pastor Robert Frake officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 27, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert.

CLOUSE

Mildred Irene Clouse, 97, of Ohio City, died at 5:50 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2009, at The Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.

She was born May 15, 1912, in Liberty Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Daniel Fortney and Minnie May (Montgomery) King. On November 25, 1939, she married Ivan Waldo Clouse, who preceded her in death on October 11, 1993.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan (Clarence) Oberlitner of Ohio City; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A son, Jay Dee Clouse; three brothers, Staff Sergeant Marcus T. King, Boyd Coleman and Bob L. King; and one sister, Helen Melissa Dull, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, August 28, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Randy Bevington officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
