GRIMM

Maxine M. Grimm, 92, of Van Wert and formerly of Tiffin, died at 7:21 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born July 27, 1917, in Mason, W.Va., the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Margaret (Dailey) Elias. She married the Rev. H. Joe Grimm, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Grimm was a retired licensed beautician. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Tiffin and attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Van Wert. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, TWIG II and the Visiting Nurses Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, W. Wallace (Donna) Grimm of Van Wert; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Claudia Jo McDaniel; three brothers; and three sisters, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 14, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Van Wert, with the Rev. Dr. Tim Burden officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Tiffin.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, December 13, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.
