LA BOUNTY
Doris B. La Bounty, 89, of Payne, died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009, at the Gardens of Paulding.
She was the widow of Russell A. La Bounty Sr., who died December 27, 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, Roxann La Bounty of Payne; three sons, Russell (Connie) La Bounty Jr., Charles (Susan) La Bounty and John (Pennie) La Bounty, all of Payne; a sister, Betty Gleitz of Niles, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish in Payne, with Father G. Allan Fillman officiating. Burial will be in Wiltsie Cemetery in Payne.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, where a wake service will be held at 7:30 that evening.

BOWERS
G. Michael Bowers, 60, of Paulding, died Saturday, December 12, 2009.
He was born January 15, 1949, in Fort Wayne, Ind., the son of the late Bob and Evelyn (Tester) Bowers. On November 9, 1985, he married Rose A. (McGrath) Bowers, who survives in Paulding.
Other survivors include his stepmother, Sherry Bowers of Coldwater, Mich.; four children, Stacy (Jason) Calhoun of Glendale, Ariz., Stephanie Ball of Churubusco, Ind., and Steve (Lena) Mawer and Jon (Monette) Mawer, both of Upper Sandusky; two brothers, Alan (Sue) Bowers of Ney and Jim (Sandy) Bowers of Antwerp; a sister, Linda (Joe) Messmann of Payne; two stepbrothers, Matt (Tonya) Bowers of Coldwater, Mich., and Bobbie (Scott) Welke of Quincy, Mich.; and 11 grandchildren.
A brother, Dennis, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 17, at Antwerp United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Michael Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery in Paulding, with military graveside rites also performed.
The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church.

GAUT
Gladys Marie Turner Gaut, 98, of Payne, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009, at The Cedars in Leo, Ind.
She was born March 12, 1911, in Paulding, the daughter of the late William H. and Margaret Rosa Ellen (Parrish) Turner. On June 7, 1930, she married Marcell C. Gaut, who preceded her in death on July 17, 1990.
Survivors include two daughters, Miriam Gaut of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Myrna (Don K.) Snyder of Payne; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Marsha Conwell; and grandson, Kevin Conwell; and one sister, Hazel Shiel, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, December 15, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Payne. Burial will be in Wiltsie Cemetery in Payne.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
