CONRAD
Virginia M. Conrad, 84, of Van Wert, passed away at 7:09 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2009, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born March 19, 1925, in West Baden,
Ind., the daughter of the late Harry and Mattie (Fisher) Morrison. She was the
younges
t of nine children. In 1943, she graduated from West Baden High School
and, on July 22, 1945, she married Everett G. Conrad, who preceded her in death
on April 3, 1989.
In her younger years, Mrs. Conrad was a homemaker who enjoyed golfing and was an avid bowler. With age, she developed many new hobbies, such as wintering in Florida, shelling and playing cards. Most of all, she loved spending time with the family and friends she loved and adored.
She is survived by four children, Ed (Jill) Conrad, Shirley Jarvis, Steve Conrad and Marlene (Dick) Jones, all of Van Wert; seven grandchildren, Christy (Mike) Wortman, Joel (Cindy) Jarvis, Chad Conrad, Josh (Krista) Jarvis, Nathan Conrad, Ty (Kristen) Conrad, and Stephanie Conrad; two stepgrandchildren, Ed (Brenda) Agler and Doug (Sun Cha) Agler; and eight great-grandchildren, as well as one great-grandchild to be born in a few days.
Five brothers, three sisters, and a son-in-law, Daniel Jarvis, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Jon Exman officiating. Private family burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
The family will receive friends from noon-3 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials: Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.

SANDERS
Vincent H. “Sandy” Sanders, 93, of Payne, died Saturday, December 19, 2009, at Dallas Lamb Foundation Home in Payne.
He was born September 26, 1916, in Edgerton, the son of the late George and Anna (Miller) Sanders. On May 28, 1949, he married Margaret (Santo) Sanders, who preceded him in death on March 8, 2009.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Sanders of Paulding and Anita Gibson of Antwerp; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Lester and Wayne Sanders; and two sisters, Juanita Schiffli and Beulah Sanders, also preceded him in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish in Paulding, with Father G. Allan Fillman officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Gove Cemetery in Paulding.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, with a wake service to be held at 7:30 that evening, and hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
