GAMBLE

Jane C. Gamble, 76, of Van Wert, died Thursday, February 25, 2010, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born May 4, 1933, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Bernell N. and Geraldine (Swartz) Gamble.

Survivors include a sister, Joan G. Amstutz of Van Wert; three nephews; three nieces; four great-nephews; and six great-great-nieces; two great-great-nephews; and a great-great-great-nephew.

A brother-in-law, Richard G. Amstutz, also preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 27, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Van Wert.

There will be no visitation.

Preferred memorials: Va Wert Angel Foundation or Wesley United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

Arrangements were handled by Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.

DANCER

Robert F. Dancer, 83, of Elida, died at 1:04 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010, at Lima Convalescent Home.

He was born February 20, 1927, in Allen County, the son of the late Frank and Anna Marie (Schulte) Dancer.

Survivors include a son, Randy Dancer of Lima; three daughters, Lori (Mike) Zink of Uniontown, Tracy French of Spencerville and Courtney (William) Numbers of Lima; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a close friend, Lois Miller.

Four sisters and two brothers also preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 1, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Jacob Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos, with graveside military rites performed by the Delphos Veterans Council.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, February 28, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.
