DAILEY

Estella Rose Dailey, 80, of Celina and formerly of Rockford, died at 7:14 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2010, at the Gardens at Celina, where she had been a patient.

She was born July 29, 1929, in Decatur, Ind., the daughter of the late Roy and Irene (Liby) French. On July 26, 1947, she married Ralph Dailey, who preceded her in death on November 5, 1990.

Survivors include three sons, Mark Dailey, at home; Robert (Betty) Dailey of Rockfordd and Dennis (Cindy) Dailey of Van Wert; two daughters, Sandra Dailey of Celina and Debra (Phil) Rigano of St. Louis, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and dear friends Lisa and Andrew Sneddon of Celina.

Two brothers, Ervin and Harold French; and two sisters, Grace Alden and Mary Girod, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 1, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, January 31, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

BUETTNER

George F. Buettner, 84, of Delphos, died at 10:10 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2010, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born November 11, 1925, in Allen County, Ohio, the son of the late Donald and Lorene (Smith) Buettner. On June 18, 1947, he married Mary Dolores (Wrasman) Buettner, who preceded him in death on September 8, 1989.

Mr. Buettner was a farmer and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos.

Survivors include four sons, Glen (Terri) Buettner of Bellefontaine, Steven A. (Linda) Buettner and Dean (Joyce) Buettner, both of Delphos, and Jeffry Buettner of Lima; a daughter, Donna (Jeffrey) Martin of Gomer; three brothers, Thomas (Ima) Buettner and Richard (Carol) Buettner, both of Delphos, and Ellis Gene (Amy) Buettner of Lima; three sisters, Lois Halliwell of California, Edna (John) Feathers of Wyoming and Dorothy Miller of Delphos; nine grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

A brother, Donald Buettner, also preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Jacob Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.
