ESTHER E. PROFIT

Esther E. Profit, 92, of Ohio City, died at 7:35 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

She was born April 18, 1918, in Ohio City, the daughter of the late Glenn and Lulu Esther (Moyer) Sidle. On October 21, 1944, she married Harold Robert Profit, who preceded her in death on February 6, 1997.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane Bowen of Ohio City; one sister, Jane Metcalfe of Lexington, Ky.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren (and a fourth expected next month); and one nephew and niece.

A daughter, Jo Elaine Profit, and a granddaughter, Krista Jo Bowen, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ohio City, with Pastor Denise Brown officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
