JOHN R. BOGGS
John R. Boggs, 82, of Fort Wayne, Ind., died
Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born in Thorncreek Township and was married to E. Lynne Boggs, who survives in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Boggs was employed by Navistar and retired
after 20 years
of service. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Sam (Jill) Boggs of Albion, Ind., and Brian (Audrey) Boggs and Bradley Boggs, both of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Suzanne Kennard of Edgewater, Fla.; four stepchildren, Robin (Steve) Springer of Convoy, Sherry Werner of Carmel, Ind., Bill Thiebaut of Indianapolis, Ind., and Holly Thiebaut of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Richard and Frank Boggs; and three sisters, Margaret Stillpass, Jean O’Keefe and Nancy Hartman; 11 grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
A brother, Jim Boggs, and two sisters, Martha Boggs and Jane Trimmer, also preceded him in death.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday, August 2, at IOOF Cemetery, 1109 Hartzell Road, New Haven, Ind., including military rites.
There will be no visitation.
Preferred memorials: Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

MARY M. BOWERSOCK
Mary M. Bowersock, 92, of Van Wert, went home to be with Jesus at 4:35 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born October 9, 1917, in Wetzel, the
daughter of
the late Cloyd and Zema (Weldy) Ditto. On April 12, 1941, she
married Virgil W. “Toe” Bowersock, who preceded her in death on April 1, 1994.
Mrs. Bowersock was a homemaker and a former member of Phi Beta Psi sorority. She was an avid card player and spent many winters in Florida with her husband.
Survivors include two children, James L. (Sharon) Bowersock and Darla (Richard) Neiford, both of Van Wert; three grandchildren, Kerry Speer, Shannon (Berlin) Carroll and Ashley (Barry) Whetsel; and eight great-grandchildren, Daniel Speer, Eric Speer, Ricky Carroll, Hannah Carroll, Ashley Carroll, Nickolas Mengerink, Jacob Mengerink and Aadison Whetsel.
Two brothers, Vile and Lawrence Ditto, and a sister, Velva (Ditto) Howard, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 26, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery near Middle Point.
The family will receive friends from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, July 25, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials: Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.

CLOYD RICHARD HOCKENBERRY
Cloyd Richard Hockenberry, 79, of Scott, died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Country Inn Living Center in Paulding.
He was born August 24, 1930, in Scott, the son
of the late Leslie Pearl and Alta Faye (Adams) Hockenberry.
On
August 15, 1954, he married Janet Lou (Mohr) Hockenberry, who survives in Latty.
Other survivors include a daughter, Jill (Jeff) Allen of Pacifica, Calif.; two sons, Jack (Marjorie) Hockenberry of Shelby Township, Mich., and Les (Lori) Hockenberry of Haviland; one sister, Connie Kaufman of Pleasant Lake, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
A brother, Charles Hockenberry, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 25, at Mount Pleasant Church, 3606 Slane Road, Van Wert, with Pastor Bill Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by the honor guard of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2873 in Grover Hill.
The family will receive friends from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services at the church.

DEBRA ANN (PAVEL) ESTLE DAVIS
Debra Ann (Pavel) Estle Davis, 53, of Lima, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at her residence.
She was born July 6, 1957, in Lima, the daughter of the late William and Marcella Pavel.
Survivors include her stepparents, Ken and Deb Armstrong of Spencerville; two sons, Joseph Estle Jr. and William Estle, both of Delphos; three brothers, Albert (Linda) Pavel, Harlan Peter and Cary Armstrong, all of Delphos; four sisters, Mary (Larry) Carder and Tina Grubb, both of Delphos, Rhea Armstrong of Lima and Sarah Shakhtur of Spencerville; 16 nieces and nephews; and 15 great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 26, and an hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
