ZUBER
Wanda B. Zuber, 79, of Van Wert, died at 1:30 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009, at Community Health Professionals’ Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born May 2, 1930, in Paulding County, the daughter of the late Charles F. and Ella L. (Rumbaugh) Carr. On June 11, 1949, she married Kenneth W. Zuber, who preceded her in death in 2006.
Survivors include three children, Anita K. Zuber and Eileen L. Manken, both of Van Wert, and Charles J. (Dawn) Zuber of Oviedo, Fla.; a brother, Rex T. (Joyce) Carr of Hicksville; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A son, Roland Ray Zuber; five brothers, Wendell, Jess W., Melvin C., Norman and Stanley J. Carr; and one sister, Bonita May Carr, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 31, at First United Methodist Church in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Maumee Cemetery in Antwerp.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.

BROWN
Margaret L. Brown, 81, of Delphos, died at 12:50 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009, at her residence.
She was born November 26, 1927, in Ada, Okla., the daughter of the late William and Cordia (Ethel) Pratt. On January 11, 1945, she married Roy Brown, who preceded her in death on August 28, 1969.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Brown of Delphos and Jeffery (Carol Norris) Brown of Richburg, S.C.; two daughters, Marilyn Goodenough of Elida and Roijean Maas of Vero Beach, Fla.; a sister, Doris Russell of Edmund, Okla.; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Two sons, one in infancy and George William Brown; a daughter, Janet Illig; three sisters, Bernice Carson, Lois Mattioli and Robbie Aliff; and four brothers, Ed, Olan, Howard and Perry Pratt, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Delphos, with Rev. Ronald Lumm officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
