FRANCIS H. KOENN

Francis H. Koenn, 90, of Paulding, died Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at St. Anne Home in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born June 23, 1920, in Paulding County, the son of the late Lawrence and Clemence M. (Grew) Koenn. On December 1, 1945, he married Mabel Claire (Hickman) Koenn, who preceded him in death on January 25, 2006.

Survivors include 10 children, Mary Ellen Koenn of Morgan Town, W.Va., Larry (Diana) Koenn of Alaska, Marg (John) Scott of Hillsdale, Mich., Dan (Linda) Koenn of Franklin, Tenn., Marti (Larry) Overmyer of Payne, Madonna (John) Tritle of Valparaiso, Ind., Monica (Mark) Mays of Tipp City, Jim (Alayna) Koenn of Auburn, Ind., Jerry (Julie) Koenn of Delta, and Marcia (Steve) Pesicek of Wooster; a brother, Ted (Madonna) Koenn of Cecil; 28 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A brother and sister-in-law, Virgil and Rosalie Koenn, also preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish in Paulding, with Father G. Allan Fillman officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in Cecil.

The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. Friday, July 9, at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish, with a wake to be held at 7:30 that evening, and also an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Masses, Caring and Sharing Food Pantry or Community Health Professionals-Hospice of Paulding County.
