was born April 17, 1933, in Van Wert, the son of the late Clark and Ruby (Imler)
Bechtol. He married Gloria “June” (Halliwell) Bechtol, who survives in Van Wert.

Donald E. Bechtol, 77, of Van Wert, died at 8:50 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at Van Wert Manor.
He
was born April 17, 1933, in Van Wert, the son of the late Clark and Ruby (Imler)
Bechtol. He married Gloria “June” (Halliwell) Bechtol, who survives in Van Wert.
Other survivors include two children, Timothy Bechtol of Van Wert and Linda (Mark Hermann) Bechtol of Denver, Colo.; and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 12, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with graveside military rites performed by the combined honor units of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both in Van Wert.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 11, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials: Van Wert High School Athletic Booster Club or Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
