ANGELA M. KEMPER

Angela M. Kemper, 88, of Delphos, died at 2:25 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.

She was born April 26, 1922, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Mathias and Theresa (Laudick) Kaverman. On November 15, 1947, she married Leo Kemper, who preceded her in death on November 11, 1972.

Survivors include two sons, Stephen (Judy) Kemper and Michael (Linda) Kemper, both of Delphos; two brothers, Donald (Beatrice) Kaverman and Ralph “Cob” (Margie) Kaverman, both of Delphos; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 17 stepgreat-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Cindi Kemper of Delphos.

A son, Gerald Kemper; four brothers, Robert, John, Paul and Hubert “Hups” Kaverman; a sister, Catherine Kaverman; and two grandsons, also preceded her in death.

  A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Tom Weinandy officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Delphos.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, June 17, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.

Preferred memorials: Donor’s choice.

BURNICE L. DAVIS

Burnice L. Davis, 94, of Van Wert, died at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born January 27, 1916, in Paulding County, the daughter of the late Guy and Mary (Speer) Ragan. On August 28, 1949, she married Jack R. Davis, who preceded her in death on September 2, 1984.

Survivors include a son, Charles Davis of Minster; one sister, Janice Johnson of Van Wert; a sister-in-law, Nina Ragan; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A brother, Carl Ragan, and one sister, Muriel Yore, also preceded her in death.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 19, at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

There will be no visitation.

Preferred memorials: Brumback Library in Van Wert.

Arrangements were handled by Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.
