RAYMOND L. GEISMAN
Raymond L. “Hap” Geisman, 93, of Van Wert, died at 1:25 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Van Wert Manor.
He was born March 8, 1917, in Va Wert, the son of
the late Joh
n
and Almeda (Fenter) Geisman. On May 4, 1940, he married Velma (Jenkins) Geisman,
who survives in Van Wert.
Mr. Geisman was a retired finish carpenter who had worked for Hisey & Bebout and Brown & Compton contractors in Van Wert. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Van Wert and was an avid sportsman and loved to fish.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Karen (Rob) Miller, Pat (Roger) Neate and Nancy (Ed) Hurd, all of Van Wert; seven grandchildren, Lisa Watz, Angela Myers, Rob T. Miller, Brent Neate, Michele McCleery, Vernon Hurd and Dawn Hurd; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Raymond Lynn Geisman; six brothers, Jesse, Walter, Foster, Donald, Carl and Robert Geisman; and two sisters, Pearl Geisman and Mabel DeVore, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, June 21, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Jay Nesselroad officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

WILLIAM E. KEITH
William E. Keith, 65, of Van Wert, died at 1:43
p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born September 10, 1944, in Van Wert
County, the son of the late Nolan F. and Florence R. (Knittle) Keith Straley. He
married Nancy (Miller) Keith, who survives in Van Wer
t.
Mr. Keith was a machine tool instructor at Vantage Career Center and retired after 26 years of service. He was also a contractor who built many homes in the summer months. He was a former member of Liberty Baptist Church in Van Wert, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a youth group advisor for VICA at Vantage.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two children, Brenda K. (Travis) Kittle and Bradley E. (Michelle) Keith, both of Van Wert; three stepchildren, Michael T. Woodruff of Fort Wayne, Ind., Melissa (Dominic) Clementz of Phoenix, Ariz., and Heather (Steven) Boroff of Van Wert; a brother, Harold D. Keith of Va Wert; five grandchildren, Chelsea and Cameron Keith and Ashley, Paige and Cody Kittle; and 11 stepgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, June 21, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Michael Donald officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 20, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials: Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
