AUGUST L. DIETRICH

August L. “Gus” Dietrich, 60, of Paulding, died Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

He was born April 10, 1950, in Elgin, Ill., the son of Clarence Dietrich, who survives in Silverton, Ore., and the late Mildred (Liebig) Dietrich. On October 6, 1974, he married Dorothy (Schlatter) Dietrich, who survives in Paulding.

Other survivors include his mother-in-law, Betty Dietrich of Silverton; a son, Sam Dietrich of Texas; two daughters, Rose (Steve) Foltz of Paulding and Amy (Max) Delgado of New Haven, Ind.; a brother, James (Joan) Dietrich of Silverton; one sister, Carol (Greg) Wackerly, also of Silverton; and four grandchildren.

A sister, Kathy Strahm, and two grandchildren, Connor Reagan Dietrich and Maria Faith Foltz, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 7, at the Junction Apostolic Christian Church. Burial will be in Dotterer Cemetery in Auglaize Township, Paulding County.

The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. Sunday, June 6, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.
