JAMES PENCE DAVIS
James Pence “Jamey” Davis, 41, of Wren, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at his residence.
He was born July 20, 1968, in Van Wert, the son of Larry D. Davis and Janet R. (Pence) Davis, both of whom survive in Wren. On September 20, 1997, in Wren, he married Kelly L. (McClure) Davis, who also survives in Wren.
Mr. Davis was the first commissioner of the Wren Wiffleball Tournament and he designed and created Wrenway Park Wiffleball Warehouse. He was employed by Willshire Township as a road man.
In addition to his parents and wife, other survivors include two brothers, Jack (Monica) Davis of Wren and Jeffry (Carrie) Davis of Drain, Ore.; a sister, Laura Davis of Wren; his father- and mother-in-law, Mike and Sue McClure of Convoy; a sister-in-law, Michelle (Trent) Krugh of Hamilton; and nine nephews and nieces, Joe, Kristen, Jay and Kim Davis of Drain, Ore., Natalie (Aaron) Cline of Schererville, Ind., Nick Marquardt of Monroeville, Ind., Payton Davis of Wren and Tess and Zoe Krugh of Hamilton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Ind., with Pastor Mike Saylor officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-8 p.m. Friday, May 14, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
