HAROLD J. ESCHBACH

Harold J. Eschbach, 81, of Paulding, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at the Gardens of Paulding.

He was born June 10, 1928, in Fort Wayne, Ind., the son of the late Peter J. and Lena M. (Geyer) Eschbach. On July 23, 1949, he married Ruth G. (Caryer) Eschbach, who survives in Paulding.

Other survivors include two sons, Ron (Marsha) Eschbach of Antwerp and Larry Eschbach of Sandusky; two daughters, Marianne (Joe) Riley of Land O Lakes, Fla., and Linda (Tom) Riley of Kalamazoo, Mich.; a brother, Norman Eschbach of Payne; one sister, Delores Brown of Pontiac, Mich.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Alvin and Raymond Eschbach, and two sisters, Lucile Fatchett and Marcella Greely, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at First Presbyterian Church in Paulding, with the Rev. David Meriwether officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Paulding at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Friday, May 14, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Gardens of Paulding Activity Fund or First Presbyterian Church in Paulding.

JOSEPH U. KENT

Joseph U. Kent, 48, of Delphos, died at 12:46 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born July 26, 1961, in Lima, the son of Elmer Kent and the late Carol (Miller) Kent. He was married to Barbara Kent, who preceded him in death in 2002.

Survivors include four daughters, Heidi Pope, Emily Hipsher and Brooke Kent, all of Lima, and Nichole Keit of Bossier City, La.; a brother, Don Kent of Angola, Ind.; four sisters, Penny Musser of Angola, Ind., Julie Najarian and Cindy Allen, both of South Carolina, and Laura Savage of Delphos; and 10 grandchildren.

A sister, Angie Sprague, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with the Rev. David Howell officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 14, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
