WILLIAM I. FOLLAS

William I. Follas, 85, of Paulding, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Paulding County Hospital in Paulding.

He was born February 1, 1925, in Van Wert County, the son of the late Orwell and Bessie (Bowman) Follas. On December 28, 1950, he married Carol Sue (Maxon) Follas, who survives in Paulding.

Other survivors include two sons, Daniel (Kathy) Follas of Indianapolis, Ind., and Evan (Deb) Follas of Fishers, Ind.; two daughters, Marsha (Jim) Henderson of Paulding and Billie Sue (Tim) Lengacher of Leo, Ind.; three brothers, Dale Follas and Elbert (Grace) Follas, both of California, and Donald Follas of Arlington; two sisters, Patsy (John) Kirkendall and Connie (Gary) Plummer, both of Elida; a sister-in-law, Marlene Follas of Van Wert; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A brother, Bob “Wheaties” Follas, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at Paulding United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ben Lowell officiating. Burial will be in Paulding Memorial Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 587 in Paulding.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Friday, May 21, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Paulding High School Athletic Department or Paulding United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund.
