DiANNA M. GIRARDOT

DiAnna M. Girardot, 66, of Convoy, died at 5:17 a.m. Monday, May 31, 2010, at her residence.

She was born July 12, 1943, in Huntington, Ind., the daughter of the late Ferrol and Cecil (Turner) Joseph. On August 25, 1962, she married Lewis C. Girardot, who survives in Convoy.

Mrs. Girardot was employed in banking for more than 20 years, retiring from Bank One. She was a member of Convoy United Methodist Church and was a 1961 graduate of Crestview High School. She was a member of the Van Wert Women of the Moose and a volunteer for the Convoy Fire and EMS Department.

In addition to her husband, survivors include four children, Todd W. (Melissa) Girardot of Antwerp, Karen (Terry Bateson II) Crouse and Beth (Roger “Juice”) Thomas, both of Van Wert, and Kurt (Diane) Girardot of Middle Point; two sisters, Helen Haines of Convoy and Phyllis (Bud) Grindle of Fort Wayne, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 3, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Gregory Leigh officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
