UTRUP
Ruth A. Utrup, 73, of Delphos, died at 6:20 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2009, at Triumph Hospital in Lima.
She was born November 3, 1936, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Aloysius and Laura Kaverman. On September 7, 1957, she married Donald E. Luersman, who preceded her in death on December 21, 1960. On November 17, 1962, she married Edwin L. Utrup, who survives in Delphos.
Other survivors include two sons, Mark (Angela) Utrup and Chris (Jill) Utrup, both of Delphos; three daughters, Louann (Kevin) McNamara of Loveland, Julie Turnwald of Ottoville, and Kay (Andrew) Miller of Delphos; two brothers, Eugene Kaverman and Louis (Martha) Kaverman; six sisters, Betty Beckmann, Alice (Norman) Knippen, Margaret (Paul) Pohlman, Dorothy (Robert) Heitz, Alene Klausing and Janet (Thomas) Hiett; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A sister-in-law, Esther Kaverman; and five brothers-in-law, Leonard Beckmann, Richard Klausing, Merle Hollar, Harold Springer and Nile McDonald, also preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Monday, November 16, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Charles Obinwa and Father Jacob Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, November 15, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 6:30 that evening.
Preferred memorials: Triumph Hospital of Lima or a charity of donor’s choice.
STOCKWELL
Collin James Stockwell, 22, of Delphos, died the morning of Thursday, November 12, 2009, at injuries suffered in an auto accident.
He was born November 13, 1986, in Lima, the son of Mark Stockwell, who survives in Delphos, and Lisa (Spring) Stockwell, who survives in Greenwich, Conn.
Other survivors include a sister, Karissa Stockwell of Delphos; maternal grandparents Linda Spring of Delphos and George Spring of Lima; paternal grandparents Jim and Jeannette Stockwell of Delphos; a great-grandmother, Virginia Stockwell of Lima; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
His great-grandparents, Glenn and Lula Clarkson, Al and Ruby Spring, Clara and Walter Allemeier and James Stockwell, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 15, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with Pastor Dave Howell officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Saturday, November 14, and from noon-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
