BEARDSLEE-GIBBS

Evelyn Rose (Moser) Beardslee-Gibbs, 87, formerly of Waterford, Mich., died at 8:28 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2009, at Sunny Acres Nursing Home near Elkton, Mich.

She was born July 5, 1922, in Harrison Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Earl W. and Mary Mae (Case) Moser. She was first married to Leon Beardslee, who preceded her in death. She then married William Gibbs, who also preceded her in death on February 23, 2003.

Survivors include a daughter, Pamela (Richard) Roth of Caseville, Mich.; one brother, Harry Moser of Wren; a sister, Ruth Bennett of Willshire; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A brother, Marshal A. Moser, and three sisters, Harriet Krugh, Leona Mae Hunt and Audrey Sammetinger, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Wayne Karges officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, at the funeral home.
