BLYMYER

Ronald R. Blymyer, 71, of Delphos, died at 1:05 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009, at his residence.

He was born September 18, 1938, in Lima, the son of the late Marion “Bud” and Ethel (Lowery) Blymyer. On February 21, 1965, he married Betty Jo (Foust) Blymyer, who also preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, Randy Blymyer of Delphos; two daughters, Bonnie Settlemire of Spencerville and Connie Thompson of Delphos; one brother, William “Bill” (Marie) Blymyer of Delphos; a sister, Phyllis Little of Phoenix, Ariz.; a stepbrother, Gary Turnwald; one stepsister, Dolly Neusbaum; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Susan Blymyer; his stepmother, Margaret Blymyer; and a stepbrother, Jim Turnwald, also preceded him in death.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday, October 5, at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. Military rites will be performed by the Delphos Veterans Council following the funeral service.

There will be no visitation.

HOLTSBERRY

Robert E. Holtsberry, 83, of Winter Garden, Fla., and formerly of Paulding, died Saturday, October 3, 2009, at Golden Pond Communities in Winter Garden.

He was born March 25, 1926, in Paulding, County, the son of the late Robert L. and Alice C. (Gordon) Holtsberry. On December 25, 1945, he married Isabelle P. (Freshwater) Holtsberry, who preceded him in death on March 16, 2004.

Survivors include two sons, Robert L. (Ann) Holtsberry of Westerville and Dennis Holtsberry of Paulding; a daughter, Linda Begley of Windermere, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A sister, Verna Dean Johnson, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 10, at First Christian Church in Paulding, with Rev. Gregory Bibler and Robert L. Holtsberry officiating. Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery in Paulding.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Friday, October 9, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
