BAKER

Orville J. Baker, 97, of Oakwood, died Friday, October 30, 2009, at the Laurels of Defiance.

He was born August 29, 1912, in Portland, Ore., the son of the late Orville J. and Edith (Dreisbach) Baker. On October 22, 1932, he married Mildred (Ehrman) Baker, who preceded him in death on October 8, 1996.

Survivors include three sons, Lee (Marjane) Baker of South Lyon, Mich., David Baker of Muncie, Ind., and Dennis (Judy) Baker of Oakwood; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

An infant son; two sisters, Belva Ennis and Evelene Johnson; one brother, Kenneth Baker; and a grandson, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, November 2, at Bethel Christian Church in Arthur, with Pastor Christopher Baker officiating. Burial will be in Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania at 3 p.m. that day.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, November 1, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.
