JEFFERY

Marie E. Jeffery, 91, of Fort Wayne, Ind., died Wednesday, September 16, 2009.

She was born February 20, 1918, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Leo P. and Anna B. (Baker) Meyer. On April 24, 1937, she married Forest “Gale” Jeffery, who preceded her in death on December 20, 1976.

Survivors include a son, Don (Julie) Jeffery of New Haven, Ind.; one daughter, Shari (Ed) Mercer of Punta Gorda, Fla.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A son, Robert L. Jeffery, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Monday, September 21, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, with the Rev. Ben Lowell officiating. Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery in Paulding.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, September 20, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: The Salvation Army, Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo or the Fort Wayne Humane Society.
