PEASE
Doris A. Pease, 95, of Paulding, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at the Gardens of Paulding.
She was born January 1, 1914, in Hicksville, the daughter of the late Harry and Erma (Breininger) Metz. On March 3, 1934, she married Otis L. Pease, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1974.
Survivors include two sons, Max (Joan) Pease of Latty and Darrell (Freda) Pease of Paulding; two daughters, Sharon (Jerry) Manson and LaDonna Miller, both of Paulding; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Paul Pease; twin daughters; twin great-granddaughters; a sister, Madaline Battershell; and two brothers, Lowell and Kenneth Metz, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 6, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, with the Rev. Ron Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Hedges Cemetery in Paulding.
The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. Saturday, September 5, with a Fraternal Order of Eagles memorial service at 7:30 that evening, and from noon until the time of services Sunday at the funeral home.

DICKSON
Harlan R. Dickson, 87, of Lampe, Mo., died at 6:58 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at Mercy St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
He was born December 26, 1921, in Van Wert, the
son of the late Russell and
Ermal
(Book) Dickson. He married Evelyn (Volonnino) Dickson, who survives in Lampe. He
was also formerly married to Alice (Beck) Dickson, who survives in Oxford.
Other survivors include a son, Ron (Hildegard) Dickson of Oxford; one sister, Audrey Speakman Jacobs of Van Wert; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Two children, John Dickson and Barbara Roush; two brothers, Doyt and Gary Dickson; and two sisters, Wanda Voltz and Cheryl O’Brien, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery near Middle Point, with graveside military rites performed by the combined honors units of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 and American Legion Post 178, both in Van Wert.
The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
