KADESCH

Kenneth A. Kadesch, 97, of Paulding, died Tuesday morning, September 8, 2009, at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center following an extended period of declining health.

He was born July 14, 1912, in Paulding County, the son of the late Karl A. and Cora R. (Steele) Kadesch.

Survivors include a niece, Karen (Tom) Kupfersmith of Antwerp, and a nephew, George (Janet) Kadesch of Lambertville, Mich.

 A brother, John Kadesch, and nephews Keith and James Kadesch also preceded him in death.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 19, at St. Paul Cemetery in Paulding.

There will be no visitation.

Preferred memorials: First Christian Church in Paulding or Community Health Professionals’ Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

HELLMAN

Kenneth C. Hellman, 67, of Delphos, died at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born September 4, 1942, the son of the late Joseph and Martha (Gable) Hellman. On June 26, 1965, he married Sandy (Schwinnen) Hellman, who survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include three sons, Steven (Michelle) Hellman and Kevin (Paula) Hellman, both of Delphos, and Scott (Shari) Hellman of Findlay; two daughters, Kristi (Josh) Gillespie of Delphos and Sherri (Chris) Hunt of Defiance; three brothers, Chuck (Ginnie) Hellman and Rick (Cheryl) Hellman, both of Delphos, and Ralph (Cathy) Hellman of Fort Jennings; one sister, Alice (Doug) Hoehn of Ohiopyle, Pa.; his stepmother, Rita Hellman of Findlay; and 10 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 12, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Jacob Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 10, and from 2-8 p.m. Friday, September 11, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a Knights of Columbus memorial service will be held at 7 and a parish wake at 7:30 that evening.
